Floreana Island

Today's optional early morning wake up activity was a trip to the Post Office Barrel to send and receive post cards via the whalers tradition of mail swapping. (Did everybody deliver their mail?). After breakfast, we got to snorkel with sea lions at Champion Islet - quite an experience. Those critters are incredibly fast and graceful under water. And they look much bigger, too. After a wonderful lunch of typical Ecuadorian dishes (yum!) we head off for a wet landing at Punta Cormorant, where there aren't any - cormorants, that is. We get treated not only to the usual fantastic display of native flora and fauna, but also some lovely pink flamingos.
