The Denali Extension

This part of the trip consisted of a week in the interior of Alaska. We flew to Fairbanks, took the train to Denali National Park, stayed in the Denali Backcountry Lodge for three nights, and then drove to Anchorage. This is a lot of miles - check a map! We spent more time traveling through country, rather than stopping in it, so there are less pictures, but they are of an amazing country. Denali means the Great One in the native language. It is over 20,000 feet tall, and the tallest peak in North America.

These pictures were also scanned awhile back. Same apology holds here as for the "By Sea" shots.
