On and Off the M/V Sea Lion

We had an incredible time touring Alaska's Inside Passage with Special Expeditions on board the Sea Lion. We spent our days visiting glaciers, spotting whales and other wildlife, enjoying the scenery, kayaking and zodiac-ing; and our evenings watching the stars and the northern lights. The food and service were incredible. We especially enjoyed the naturalists on board. Having all that experience at our fingertips really made the difference between a great trip and an unforgettable one. Equally important to the success of the journey were the companions we met onboard and the crew of the Sea Lion, many of them who were traveling with World Wildlife Fund.

I shot over 20 rolls of film in the two weeks, and naturally I got some pictures that I was pleased with and some that went immediately into the trash bin. Click  below to view some of my favorite pictures from the trip.

These pictures include shots of marine life, kayaking excursions and our trips to Sitka and Juneau. These pictures were scanned and a long time ago, and they may not have been color-corrected. I apologize for them being of less than good quality.
